Hollabaugh Brothers is growing over an acre of asparagus, and we’re cutting it fresh daily! We’ll be bringing plenty to Farmers’ Market each week for the next few weeks, but if you’d like to order a larger quantity, we’d be happy to bring it to market for you! Here are some simple instructions for freezing asparagus, which will allow you to enjoy this treat all winter long, too!

Fresh-cut asparagus, daily!

Hollabaugh Bros. is cutting asparagus daily at our farm in Biglerville, PA!

  • Wash your asparagus.
  • Bring a tall pot of water to a boil.
  • Put your asparagus in the pot, tips up, and cover the pot with a lid.
  • Steam for approximately two minutes, then transfer directly into an ice bath.
  • Once asparagus has cooled, transfer it onto towels to dry.
  • Then, package it in freezer-safe sealable bags, label, and freeze!
